Here are a few of my favorite tips that help make baking easier
- Buy a Scale!!!! Baking is a science and grams are much more accurate.
Dividing whole numbers is much easier than dividing fractions.
- Always have your ingredients prepped.
- make sure your ingredients are room temperature.
- use an ice cream scoop to portion your batter.
- let your cakes cool all the way before icing them
- don't over mix!

Some Conversions to grams
- 1 cup all-purpose flour = 125 grams
- 1 cup brown sugar = 220 grams
- 1 cup granulated sugar = 200 grams
- 1 cup powdered sugar = 115 grams
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder = 90 grams
- 1 large egg (without shell) = about 50 grams

Healthy subsitutes
- Applesauce instead of sugar 1:1 ratio
- Greek Yogurt instead of Sour/ heavy Cream 1:1
- Bananas instead of Sugar 1:1
- Avocado instead of Butter 1:1
- Flax Seeds instead of Eggs 1tbs flax seed and 2 ½ tbs: 1 egg
